It was sad to hear that Texas singer-songwriter & Outlaw Country legend Billy Joe Shaver passed away today. We have fond memories of him playing the Jumpin Hot Club not once but twice. in 2006 he played with his regular Texas band at The Cluny. They roamed around town in the afternoon in full Texas attire and got well noticed. The second time he played The Little Theatre, maybe a couple years later, as a trio. Flapping his arms, eyes closed , praising the lord with each song it was quite some show.Sadly not many witnessed it & Billy was very concerned we might have lost money. Anyway he was just a nice fella to us & we were very lucky to have him play here.
