Two much acclaimed Reggae artists who helped us establish our Boss Sounds Reggae brand died yesterday after short illness.

British Reggae Pioneer Delroy Washington helped us promote some early Reggae packages at Live Theatre & was a very big advocate on Uk Reggae. Delroy was also a producer & backing singer , who worked with Bob Marley & Alton Ellis.
The very first Boss Sounds Live Theatre gig with Delroy, Dennis Alcapone & AJ Franklin will always be in our top 10 gigs of all time.

A week after we first had Toots & the Maytalls at Newcastle poly ( Uni of Northumbria), vocalist/songwriter Bob Andy played for us at Live Theatre. IMO it was a better show. Bob will be best remember as part of the duo Bob & Marcia who had a massive no 1 hit “Young Gifted & Black” & also “Pied Piper” which Bob produced. He was originally with the Paragons, & had songs covered by many ( Feel Like Dancing, I Don’t Want to See You Cry, My Time ) but he also had a couple minor hit’s with “Too Experienced ” & “Fire Burning” three decades apart. He also died yesterday

RIP Delroy & Bob
