We have two additions to the songwriters circle for Jumpin Hot Country Cantina @ Acklington Village Hall & garden on Saturday 11th August
Jess Morgan is a songwriter’s songwriter. Her latest album is a tumbler of unfancied, gutsy song. Her melodies will ring in your ears for days and her stories will play on your heart long after that. . BBC Wales linchpin Adam Walton said on first play – “it’s a blinder.” Glasgow’s The Skinny called her, “a songwriter who lives her craft truer than many of her contemporaries.”
Jess this meticulously hands-on artist artist, makes her own playable 7″ records at home in her kitchen. The 405 called her “a true DIY artist in her element. Seriously, she does it all.”
Elaine Palmer hails from an isolated village up on the North Yorkshire Moors. Growing up in the wilds of Yorkshire Elaine surrounded herself by music, writing songs, playing the piano, guitar and singing. Once Elaine started to play live, she finely honed her own voice and built a reputation for her emotive mesmerizing stage presence. She now has a good fan base in USA & has even made the indie charts.
Elaine’s success continued receiving airplay on Radio 2 by Bob Harris and fantastic reviews from MOJO, UNCUT, Maverick, R2.
MOJO – ‘With a beautifully conversational voice, an unerring sense of melody and a bittersweet and wistful repertoire, Elaine Palmer is undoubtedly a talent’
Stagger Lee Fisher will be country dee-jaying during the day too. He’s the regular dee jay on our Summertyne outdoor stage.
