Really sad to hear the New York bluesmen/songster/historian Steve James died from a brain cancer yesterday. He was a true friend to me & a true friend to the Jumpin Hot Club. We are proud to say that he played here many times & it was a joy to know him. From The Bridge Hotel to Live Theatre main/upstairs he never let you down with his wonderful playing & stories of legendary blues musicians & times on the road. RIP Steve, we’ll miss you .
