We had great fun on Sat night with Serious Sam/Holy Moly/Trev Gibb triple bill in Cluny2 ( Tix were £1 per band in adv) & the audiences chanting "Yorkshire, Yorkshire" at the end of the evening ?????. It was a lovely though & made us think about doing more during the summer. So watch this space, you never know

We lost three great music legends last week & two who had played for Jumpin Hot Club. In the early days Bob Brozman was the artist, all blues fans made a special pilgrimage to see. He was a genius on all roots music styles on national steel & slide guitar & helped make the reputation of the JHot Club with other american musicians. Wev'e got great memories of Bob playing from The Broken Doll to The Bridge Hotel & then Live Theatre & he'll be sadly missed throughout the world . Our sincere thoughts go with his family. 59 years old was too young
We flew Richie Havens in from USA to play our stage @ Evolution Fest a few years ago. Again he was a lovely bloke & a world famous folk musician & campaigner.
Thirdly George Jones passed away on Friday too. If you want to hear real country music, just pick up any of his albums. |
