We are going to be working in Gateshead on another venture come the autumn......

The Gateshead Town Hall is undergoing a massive refurbishment & as The Tyneside Cinema & Northern Sinfonia will already know, as theyve both resided there in the recent past, the actual hall is a fabulous space. So come early November we will be programming a couple shows in there to start the ball rolling. This will be an ongoing programme thoughout 2010 & beyond, in contrast to our other Gateshead gigs.

We are putting the provisional date for veteran blues giant Honeyboy Edwards on hold just for the moment.....He has had to move his tour to a slightly later date, for personal reasons & hopefully we should get the go ahead with another date soon............................HOWEVER,the real good news is

Wev'e confirmed the booking of Simone Felice(The Felice Bros) new band from NYC The Duke & The Kings @ Cluny2 on Thurs 17th Sept. Their album on Loose records is fantastic. Please don't miss them .

Well, no gigs were scheduled for August, so Iv'e only went and booked a very very special show. An evening with American songster Alvin Youngblood Hart. Its a extremely rare solo appearance too in the confines of the newly decked out Cluny2 -Thurs 27th August...tickets £12 from the usual outlets.

Im gonna be posted autumn gigs as and when there confirmed from now on, so keep an extra eye on our clubs page. If TBC Im confident theyll contract....Virginia's The Hot Seats - formerly known as Special Ed & The Shortbus & Jim James Revue are the latest additions !

Well the new Cluny2 is now well decked out with many of CJ Holley's J'Hot Club photos, making for a warm welcome to everyone....in the Theatre style venue.

We know there's one or two thing's need changing,but on the whole I think its a worthy addition to our schedule

This show is on our new leaflet & was organised as a co-pro with The Cluny. However with The Hot 8 playing Durham Brass Festival a few days later, they have called off the show here in Newcastle....

Luckily no tickets had been sold ....nevertheless were still disappointed.
