Scottish Highland based but North East bred singer/songster Martin Stephenson is one of Britain’s best-loved musicians.
As a solo artist and with his band, The Daintees, he has produced over 40 albums and played literally thousands of concerts.
Martin’s live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force, combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation. He is a unique, engaging, spontaneous and a very talented performer.
He has recently been championed by, and appeared with Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music ) and Billy Connolly (Made in Scotland BBC documentary.)
Martin has performed all over the world but retains strong ties to Newcastle especially with Jumpin Hot Club
During our 37 years, Martin has played more than any other artist. Hence the annual & legendary two nights for the Christmas parties.

He will be appearing with his Good Will Trio, featuring two exceptionally talented local folk/country musicians, Rupert Hughes (guitar/vocals) and Niles Krieger (violin/mandolin/dobro/vocals) both from the award-winning bluegrass band The Often Herd.

Also on the two night bill , Bluegrass duo Errant Moose – Phillipa & Pheobe ( Martin’s daughter) plus from Ireland “retro music” hobo’s Annie McLaughlin & Shane,
Anna Lavigne and Shipcote will be guests in the bands set too

Christmas just isn’t the same without Mr Martin Stephenson and his musical chums.
